Fire Safety Remediation · Sheffield

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Residential Facade Remediation in Sheffield

Weetwood Gardens is a £2.2m fire-safety remediation project on a mid-rise residential development in Sheffield. UKR Facades was appointed to replace combustible timber elements within the existing facade and balcony areas, improving fire safety and compliance across the development.

The 40-week construction programme includes the replacement of timber cladding, decking and balustrading, together with associated fire barriers. New aluminium systems are being installed as part of the remediation package, with delivery carefully planned around the significant logistical constraints of the occupied residential site.

LOGISTICS & RESIDENT LIAISON

Delivering Within a Space-Constrained Site

The restricted site at Weetwood Gardens creates significant logistical demands, with limited working space requiring careful planning of access, deliveries and day-to-day site operations. Robust logistical planning is central to coordinating the remediation works efficiently within the available space.

With residents remaining on site throughout the programme, proactive liaison also plays an important role in reducing disruption as works progress. The delivery approach combines careful site coordination with ongoing communication, helping the project move forward while minimising the impact of construction activity on residents and the wider development.
